FAQs

  • Where is the office?

We currently use WeWork office spaces for flexibility, convenience and ample supply of coffee and pool tables. Typically we co-locate in the Waterloo flagship building 2 days a week, but all other WeWork spaces are open for booking at other times if you prefer. Were a tight team that hangs, looks out for each other, and takes the work seriously. If you want to grow somewhere that grows with you, you'll fit right in.

  • What is the culture like?

We value a culture of collaboration, learning, and enjoy driving design excellence. You’ll find each member of the Mustard Navy team has something different to offer, from prior experience, to interest in different new skills, and not to mention an eclectic range of personal hobbies and projects. We enjoy our work and equally enjoy social outings together. With flexible working, team trips, and our Friday wrap-ups there’s always something going on outside of delivering projected too.

  • What benefits do you offer?

We’re constantly reviewing and updating our benefits to ensure everyone gets the most out of their package. Our base offer includes: Learning and development budget  Flexible working hours Hybrid working: 2 days per week in London’s flagship WeWork in Waterloo  Flexible tech setup, including a macbook, tool subscriptions, and AI credits Regular team social events 3% Pension contribution

  • What about learning & development?

We want every team member to succeed in their own way. Learning and development is tailored to each individual with the goal of growing each other as designers. As a small team you won’t find huge layers of hierarchy, but you will be supported to grow in ownership, responsibilities, skills, and seniority. We use regularly updated goals and frequent manager catchups to ensure you have everything you need to succeed! Your dedicated learning & development budget can be put towards relevant training sessions or certifications.

  • Is Mustard Navy dog friendly?

As you can see from our photos, we love a dog. WeWork office spaces are generally dog friendly, and we love a team stroll to stretch 2 or 4 legs at lunch! Although we’re big fans, being a dog person nor owning a fluff-ball are requirements to apply!

  • Do I need to be an AI expert to apply?

What is an ‘AI expert’ anyway? As a relatively new mainstream field we believe there will be years of evolution ahead for artificial intelligence and we expect the definition of expert of change with it. We value the ability to learn and adapt to these changes and ask that you are curious, work with us to experiment with new tools, and embrace AI as part of your design process. During the interview process we’d love to hear about how you’re using AI today and what has and hasn’t worked for you.
